Elijio Prado is a Senior Mechanical Engineer for ADVENT Engineering, a Trinity Consultants Company, which is an engineering and compliance solution provider to the life sciences industry. He received his BS in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University and his MS in mechani-cal and aeronautical engineering from the University of California, Davis. Elijio has 18 years of experience working in the biopharmaceutical and energy industry and is a registered professional mechanical engineer in the states of California and Washington. His background spans biopharmaceutical pro-jects that include validation, commissioning, bioreactor studies, and quality assurance. His mechanical engineering projects include mechanical equip-ment sizing, analysis, design and testing. Elijio was first introduced to the world of CFD approximately 15 years ago and has used CFD to study various physical processes, including heat transfer, fluid flow, and mass transfer.
